OUR STORY
In 2008, after working as a Psychologist in hospitals, mental health, community health and government departments for 13 years, Rachael started her first private practice on the Gold Coast in Elanora with Dr Carol Leader at Saffron Street Surgery. Eight happy years were spent there: healing clients and learning new skills. Over time, Rachael's business became too busy for the space, so she started to look for just the right spot for her clients. Thus the therapy spot was born.
Based in Palm Beach, the practice grew to include many fabulous clinicians and lots of wonderful work was completed. Over the COVID years, we transitioned to telehealth (as we were told to by govt) and found it to be a really effective way of helping our clients and expanded our work interstate and overseas.
We continued to provide both telehealth and face to face sessions for 8 years at Palm Beach and have helped thousands of clients to find meaning in their lives and regain their mental health.
In 2024, the therapy spot changed again. Rachael decided to pursue a better balance of work and life and relocated to our Tugan office, joining a holistic health team which includes osteopaths, naturopaths and counsellors. We now do a combination of both online and face to face appointments and continue to provide high quality therapy.
Our goal is provide a safe, nurturing healing space that focuses on evidence based practice. The science of therapy is very important as we not only want you to feel better, we want you to learn the skills to be better using therapeutic practices that are backed by scientific research.

In my therapy sessions I promote behavioral transformation by encouraging a positive outlook and the adoption of new attitudes and feelings. Whether you’re going through anxiety and depression, a hard relationship, or trying to overcome an addiction - I have the tools and professional experience to help you get ahead.
